Internet nerds have been giving this game shit due to it looking similar to Nausicaa, but one thing I didn't even realize, Nausicaa's art and concepts aren't even all that original to begin with. Many of the character designs, backgrounds and flying machines were influenced by a French artist named Jean Giraud who was friends with Miyazaki.
