So did she or any of her female friends apply for a job there and get rejected? Does she have any evidence of foul play with regards to their hiring provess? I'm going to guess not on both accounts.

I would venture a guess that if you looked at the actual numbers from a sizeable sample of all tech employees and those seeking employment, that women would be disproportionately represented compared to the overall number of tech professionals. What percentage of all women that want to work in the tech industry have a job compared to the percentage of all men that want to work in the tech industry that have a job? I would guess that because they are an HR and diversity commodity, most of women wanting those jobs are hired.
