Watch The Thief and the Cobbler here. That terrible Netflix made for TV 4:3 aspect ratio pointless dub bullshit is shameful.

This is actually really interesting. The Thief and the Cobbler was in production for 31 years (started sometime in the 60's) made by the same guy who produced Roger Rabbit. It was supposed to be his masterpiece, but because the animation was so complicated, it kept getting shelved over the decades as companies backed out from having to create it.
The story was meh, but there are some hand drawn scenes in it that are really spectacular from an animation standpoint. Do NOT watch the release on Netflix.

I think after watching this my most legitimate complaint is that the entire movie could have existed without the thief. So much time was spent animating his antics that could have gone towards just finishing the damn cartoon. It was like watching a bad loony toons wile e coyote segment at times or Peter Griffin grabbing his leg and saying "aahhhhhh!" for 10 minutes. I had similar thoughts while watching the machines collapse at the end, it just kept going and going and going. Visually appealing and in some ways spectacular, but come on!

I did, but I forgot. Also no mention of the meaty women throne or zigzag's shoes which were the most important parts.
