Reminds me of when URI went on lockdown because someone ran into one of the classrooms and screamed "I'm a nice guy!"
I think closing Costa for a day is literally the worst thing they could have done. They feed the "terrorist" and they feed people's imaginations. People were scared for MONTHS after URI went on lockdown, and even worse was when students reported other students for "suspicious behavior." One student was reported to police because he was talking about his Friday "plans" in the library. What the fuck?!

Won't someone think of the children??
In any case, the police would be able to contact twitter and get the IP address of the user, call their ISP and at least know which access point / router the info was sent from and what time it was sent. Now you can check security cameras and find the tard.
I think closing the school probably gives them time to do their homework and find the little rat that sent it, without having to worry about liabilities if someone does go crazy and shoot people.
If the school was closed and there was no follow up with the person who did it, then yeah, how lame. Also, if the kid is smart, he'll use several layers of proxies and someone else's internet connection from his car. I would like to see the fallout from this, but I doubt much if anything would be done. I would be an advocate for removing programs the students like and using that money to hire additional on campus police. When the babies wine and complain, tell them that they have their retarded twitter peers to thank for turning the school into a police state. Immediate expulsion, public shaming and slander abound to any who are discovered to be doing this.

There were officers on campus DAILY at MBMS and Costa when I was a student. Closing the school definitely removes liability from the administrators, but holding class and positioning a couple officers on campus would offer the same level of protection for what is most certainly a non-issue. Any shitty 14 year-old could do something like this and reasonably get away with it, and I'll bet old lefty that that's the case here.
