It's funny to me how much reddit gold is lying around that thread when the discussion is about choosing to pay for things.
Because apparently reddit likes choosing to pay for dumb shit like reddit gold.

I didn't notice all the gilded comments flying around. That's still something I don't understand: Liking a comment so much that you want to give reddit four dollars. Yea, yea, server costs or whatever, but it's not like they aren't making money selling ad space, user data, and all that other bullshit.
I guess at the core of both the mods and reddit gold lies the question that I'm grappling with over the whole mess. Why does somebody need to get paid just because somebody did a thing?

Because you did a thing on the internet, of course!

Yeah, that's why you can't live by a pond in Kalman Land. Those damned things keep you up at night.

This is all I think about anymore whenever I see something retarded on Reddit now.
Valve allows pay for mods.
Reddit freaks out.
Gabe makes post on Reddit to answer questions people have about the feature.
Reddit is so mad at Gabe that they downvote all of his responses so hard that you can't even read any of them.
TIPPING INTENSIFIES...
