I'm a little disappointed by the lack of footage here. I want to see the disc drive work; I want to see them play with the settings; I want to see them open it up. I can understand them not wanting to do it since it may very well be one-of-a-kind, but seeing it just play Super Famicom games alone isn't really enough.
I think it's real, but come on... a 3 minute video?

Yeah I'm under the impression that neither the dad or the son are very techie, or at least brave enough to do much with it. If that were mine it would be in pieces and all over youtube by now.
I have a hunch though that without some CD based software it's probably fairly uninteresting on its own. As rare as the machine was, I doubt very much was even made to run on it.
