I don't get it. Is this like a Tom Sawyer paint the fence trick where you just convince them they want it and end up with something the bigots wanted in the first place?

I was reading more into this the other day and apparently there are a bunch of other ethnicity themed houses for people who want to live in one of those. The demand is more of a "me too" than it is a call for segregation, though I would argue that all of these promote discrimination of some form or another. As we all know, though, I don't get to have an opinion due to my privilege and ethnicity and gender, so it doesn't much matter what I think.

Article that's a bit more clear though the concept is still silly to me. Shouldn't college be about learning about other people and cultures rather than locking yourself in an echo chamber? It's not like most people get to pick the background of the people they work with when they begin working at a company.
