These work really well on cello. I'm also impressed by the technicality of some.

Yeah I think its mostly because the cello has a good range to work with and these songs generally sound good on a stringed instrument.
I wanted to do stuff like this when i was a kid but didn't have the software to do it. I was born either 10 years too early or too late.
