I don't quite understand how they compared generations of tests, given they're all graded based on how your peers perform, but I thought the discussion of the elements of intelligence that aren't measured in an IQ test (ie rationality) and how to teach those in schooling was more interesting. Not that we'll ever improve our education system or anything...
We have no idea what we're doing with regards to nutrition guidelines, partially because we're looking in the wrong places for results and partially because everyone's anatomy responds differently to colloquial lobbyist induced boomer wisdoms.

No sooner did I post this did I encounter this: Excessive consumption of sugar during early life yields changes in the gut microbiome that may lead to cognitive impairments. Adolescent rats given sugar-sweetened beverages developed memory problems and anxiety-like behavior as adults, linked to sugar-induced gut microbiome changes.
