Reading the fine print, it looks like one option is to get 1 year's worth of food on the McGold card, followed by a check with a lump sum for all other years (essentially cash). PLUS you get to give the same prize to 3 friends. Pretty nice.

Yeah, you don't have to eat anything before or after, the only real cost is bothering to enter every day for a month. There are several drawings as well so more chances to win. So long as I have to exist in the same world as McDonalds, I may as well benefit from it somehow.
