We want equality, but we have to keep everything segregated. We need clear definitions of boundaries when it comes to gender, however gender can be fluid and non binary.

THAT'S what bothered me about this. This is a high school teacher of mine, and I wouldn't group her in with the sjw crowd (obviously, since she's against this transgender competing as a girl). But she represents a dialog that is normally represented as the antithesis of the SJW movement, and yet it's in the name of protecting women and women's rights.
I'm all for transgender rights, but personally I agree with her opinion, just not on a woman's rights basis. I don't know what type of horrible person that makes me tho.

I think it's additionally the standard case of: Does this result in a net positive for women? If yes, keep pushing further. If no, fight it tooth and nail.
Never mind the ramifications for anyone else or if the action would actually correct an imbalance where women are unfairly favored. Feminism at large is for the promotion of women, regardless of what lip service gets paid to equality. Transgendered individuals can serve as useful idiots for just so long as they don't becoming a hindrance to the cause.
