Every morning several times a week there is garbage pick up or deliveries for the Rite Aid across the street from the hovel where I squat because I can't afford to be an adult anyplace I want to live. The trucks make an obscene amount of noise and I always imagine dump trucks giving birth to dump trucks that are giving birth to dump trucks because I can't understand how they can make as much noise as they do for like 30 minutes straight.

Arjun and I had a dorm that was across from the dining hall where this same thing happened. It also sucked because it was hot for part of the year so we’d keep the windows open, making it even louder. It sucked.

Yeah I have to leave the window open at night for the same reason, which means on top of dump trucks I have to hear raving hobo screams at 4am and a guy on an electric scooter with the worlds cheapest boom box blasting rap music static from 12pm-2am.
