I agree, but I'm starting to wonder if access to unlimited information is almost as bad as access to no information. Instead of being uninformed, everyone's ill-informed, or unable to access freely available information because they can't find it.

I don't think the amount of it matters, what matters is having a vetting process and the ability to interpret information and reach your own conclusions. For somebody dumb who can't properly interpret sources, any amount can be bad. It's the difference between listening to Fox News all day and accepting what they say vs going outside and measuring something they have an agenda to twist.
